The four‑day NIHTE–IRF International Workshop on AI Applications for Road Management concluded on August 13, 2026, with a grand finale and certificate presentation ceremony at the NSE Auditorium, Abuja.
Acting National Chairman Engr. Dr. Bola J. Mudasiru, FNSE, FNIHTE, personally handed certificates of completion to participants, recognizing their dedication to advancing Nigeria’s road sector through innovation.
Over the course of the workshop, participants gained hands‑on exposure to AI‑powered pavement condition assessment, predictive deterioration modeling, traffic flow optimization, intelligent safety systems, and digital twin development. The certificate presentation marked the culmination of this intensive training and the beginning of a new era of AI‑driven road management in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Dr. Mudasiru congratulated participants and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained to Nigeria’s unique infrastructure challenges. He emphasized that the certificates symbolize not just achievement, but a commitment to building smart, resilient, and sustainable road networks.
